Tips split right, paid this week.
INSIDEA designed this homepage for a restaurant payroll tool with tip pools. Tiplane is a fictional brand, so the names, people and numbers on the page are invented.

- Passion One
Payroll software for restaurants that splits tip pools by role and hours and pays every share in the weekly run, and a homepage that shows one Friday's split: deep tomato red, cream, mustard and charcoal, a loud condensed display face and a live tip-out calculator.
The brief
Restaurant managers split tips in a spreadsheet after close, and staff wait and wonder what they made. Show the night's pool, each role's share and the payday in the first screen.
The direction
Late service: a tomato red canvas, cream type and mustard accents in a loud condensed face. The hero panel is Friday's locked pool, with tip-out rules by role, each group's dollar share and the Thursday deposit date.
The detail
$2,512.00 in card tips and $334.00 in cash make the $2,846.00 pool, and the bar's $341.52, the kitchen's $284.60 and the runners' $227.68 add to the $853.80 tip-out share, while pricing shows $59 + 34 × $6 = $263. On whether the kitchen can share in the pool, the page defers to state rules and the owner's accountant or counsel.
