North light, by the hour.
INSIDEA designed this homepage for a daylight photo studio rented by the hour. Skylit Studio Hire is a fictional brand, so the names, people and numbers on the page are invented.

A daylight photo studio that rents three north-lit rooms by the hour to photographers and video crews: whitewash, charcoal, terracotta and warm oak, a calm old-style serif and an hour-by-hour availability grid with a booking hold.
The brief
Photographers lose time emailing studios to ask what is free, what it costs and what gear is in the room. Show open hours for each room, the rate, the minimum booking and what is included in the first screen.
The direction
Airy and warm, with whitewashed backgrounds, charcoal text and terracotta buttons under a quiet serif. The hero is a five-day availability grid for three rooms by the hour, with a held Saturday block in the cyc room showing the included gear, the minimum met and the total.
The detail
The three rooms' 1,600, 2,400 and 700 square feet add to the 4,700 claimed, and a full day billed as 8 hours turns $65, $85 and $45 an hour into the $520, $680 and $360 day rates. The page does not oversell the daylight: on short winter afternoons it suggests adding the $60 strobe kit.
