Put your duty point on the curve.
INSIDEA designed this homepage for an industrial pump maker. Lyne & Strood is a fictional brand, so the names, people and numbers on the page are invented.

- Titillium Web
An industrial pump maker with an engineering catalog, modernized: chalk white, ink and one cobalt-violet line for every curve, around a working pump selector.
The brief
Plant engineers size pumps from curves, not adjectives. Give them the curve, the duty point and the motor, and say plainly when nothing fits.
The direction
An engineering catalog, modernized, with one cobalt-violet line for every curve. The hero plots flow and head on a pump curve and returns the model, impeller trim, efficiency and motor size.
The detail
Brake horsepower equals flow times head over 3,960 times efficiency at every point, each motor is the next standard size with a 15% margin, and the size table comes from the same data as the curves.
