Rewire the old house. Keep the plaster.
INSIDEA designed this homepage for an old-house rewiring electrician. Knobhaven Electric is a fictional brand, so the names, people and numbers on the page are invented.

An electrician that rewires pre-1950 homes room by room while keeping the original plaster and trim: warm parchment, walnut brown, oxblood red and aged brass, a refined old-style serif and a house cutaway that shades rooms done, in progress and next beside a day-by-day plan.
The brief
Owners of old houses know the wiring has to go but dread torn-open walls and lost plaster. The first screen has to show how few openings a full rewire takes, which rooms are done and what the job costs.
The direction
Preservation craft: parchment pages, walnut ink, oxblood and brass details, set in a refined old-style serif. The hero is a rewire plan for a 1924 foursquare with a cutaway of rooms done, today and next, the openings marked, and a two-week day-by-day schedule.
The detail
The schedule's daily circuits add to 18 and its openings to 24, patched as 10 then 14, and 18 circuits at $1,150 plus the $3,400 panel, less the $250 survey credit, make the $23,850 fixed quote. Asked whether all knob-and-tube is unsafe, the page answers not automatically.
