Lift off at first light.
INSIDEA designed this homepage for a sunrise hot air balloon company. Highdrift Balloon Co. is a fictional brand, so the names, people and numbers on the page are invented.

A hot air balloon company that flies sunrise rides over the Ondaway Valley and tells booked guests the night before whether the flight is on: soft peach, deep indigo, balloon red and an apricot glow, an airy old-style serif and a morning flight status panel.
The brief
Guests booked for a dawn flight want to know before the alarm goes off whether the balloon will fly. The first screen has to give a clear go or hold, the weather readings behind it, the liftoff time and where to check in.
The direction
A dawn sky: peach and apricot warmth, indigo type and a balloon red for the call, set in an airy old-style serif. The hero is a flight status panel with a big go, five forecast readings against the pilot's limits, a wind chart, the launch field map, seats booked and the pilot.
The detail
The last 14 mornings show 11 flown and 3 held, each hold with its reason, and the $1,890 whole basket works out to $315 a guest when all six fly. The page never promises a landing spot: the balloon flies wherever the wind takes it.
