Shorter walks. Faster picks.
INSIDEA designed this homepage for a warehouse system for growing ecommerce teams. Binsmith is a fictional brand, so the names, people and numbers on the page are invented.

- Black Ops One
Warehouse management software for growing ecommerce warehouses with one to three buildings: kraft paper, dark brown, red-orange and steel blue, a stenciled crate-marking display face and a live floor plan with aisle heat and a cart's pick path.
The brief
Growing warehouses lose hours to pickers crisscrossing the floor with lists printed in bin order. Show the floor, the walking path and how the current wave is going in the first screen.
The direction
Cardboard and caution tape, with a stenciled face in brown and red-orange on kraft. The hero is a top-down floor board: aisles shaded by picks, one cart's path drawn through them, wave 4's progress and the short picks to chase.
The detail
Wave 4's 114 picked, 3 short and 69 open make its 186 picks, and the five re-slot moves save 31,512, 20,368, 18,316, 18,887 and 12,464 feet, or 101,547 feet, the 19.2 miles a week in the heading. On new scanners the page says only "usually not," and it leaves re-slotting to the team at its own pace.
